As part of the research project Modeling Social Behavior from Trajectory Data (at the Business Intelligence Group), enriching spatial trajectories with semantic information coming from open data and commercial data of third parties. In this regard, the internship aimed at understanding and managing spatial data and the technological stack required by interaction with external services and by integration with the components and technologies already present in the research project and the deepening of the same. The combination of these data was then loaded into a single database and integrated into the project’s ontology.

    Achievements

    • From September 2023 to December 2023 I was a Visiting Researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in Belgium. I worked on the optimization of query plans in multistores from a theoretical perspective with the Big Data Processing (BDP) group, under the supervision of Prof. Bas Ketsman.
    • On September 2023 I presented at ADBIS conference at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in Barcelona my work “Streaming Approach to Schema Profiling”.
    • On July 2023 I presented at SEBD conference in Galzigliano Terme (Padua) my work “On the optimization of query plans in multistores”.
    • On August 2021 I presented at ADBIS conference in Estonia my work “Optimizing Execution Plans in a Multistore”.
    • From February 2019 to 2020 I was the Tutor of the BS Computer Science and Engineering.
    • During the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree I played the role of Student Representative in the Degree Course Council and a member of the University Consult of Cesena.
    • From October 2015 to 2020 I was an activist at the Student Association S.P.R.I.Te. of my degree course. From November 2016 to January 2019 I held the role of Secretary in the Board of this Association.
